To become a successful chef an individual will need to have "the ability to work well with others, and the culinary passion", according to Rowan Riley. It is also equally important to be an organize and dependable worker. Another factor is to be clean, and look clean. "Forborne illness is commonly spread by poor hygiene, especially the failure to wash hands. As a chef the appearance of uncleanliness can and will reflect a reflect a regard for good practices." Another great tip for success is to be by lingual; learning to speak Spanish is a good idea. Extra effort is also needed; putting in long hours and more responsibility will take the individual a long way. The individual can volunteer to help out with administrative tasks like food ordering, and staffing to help come more valuable (Riley 2-9)
