How much money does a professional chef make?

As a professional chef individuals makes different amounts of money.  The wages of chefs varies depending on what percent the chefs are in.  Chefs can be within the top 10 percent the middle or the bottom 10 percent. In the top 10 percent chefs make $70,960 a year or more which is at least $34.11 an hour.  In the 50th percentile $40,630 a year was made. In the last 10 percent there was annually or less than $23,260 a year.
The type of workplace the individual is in can affect his or her salary.  The location of the individuals workplace can play a significant role in how much his or her salary is.  Many chefs relocate to states that have a higher level of employment for chefs.  The states would be Florida, Texas, Illinois, and New York.  The median wages for chefs or the 50 percentile was found in the mid-Atlantic, New England, and Pacific.  The lowest median wages were found in the West North Central region.  In this region the states are Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri ("Chef and Culinary Career Information").
According to simply hired the average salary for professional jobs  is $45,00.   The average chef salary changes depending on the location, company, benefits, industry, and experience.  Chefs salary's also changes depending on what type of chef the individual is considered.  The graph below shows the average salary for other types of professional chefs.
