While researching the career on being a professional chef, I have learned many things that I did not know. I have learned that the salaries of the wages change depending on your location, and industry. Even though you might love or know how to cook that does not mean that cooking is meant for you. To succeed at being a chef you must have the passion for cooking, also love and enjoy doing it. As a chef there a certain training requirements, even if you already know how to cook. It comes from basic skills like holding a knife, or to correct sanitation skills. To help yourself cook more it is best to cook for your family, and friends. You must also have the ability to work well with others , and be a dependable worker. Learning another language can help, such as Spanish. The individual will need to be able to be under constant pressure like standing on your feet all day. The heavy lifting, noise, is also a great pressure on the individual.
It is most surprising to me that chefs wages changes depending on location. Also chefs are ranked in three different percentiles. The top 10, the middle, and the bottom 10.
Now that I have researched all about being a chef I have changed my mind I plan on going to college in August to become a Paralegal.
